NEW YORK – On October 12, Deputy Minister of National Defense, Nikos Hardalias, visited the headquarters of the Greek consulate in New York, as part of an official visit he is making to the United States of America.
Hardalias had a meeting with members of the Greeks of the Diaspora.
Specifically, Deputy Minister of National Defense spoke with the president of AHEPA Jimmy Kokotas, the founder and president of the Eastern Mediterranean Business & Culture Alliance Lou Katsos, the 1st vice president of the Hellenic Lawyers Association George Zapantis, as well as prominent members of organizations and cultural clubs of the diaspora of New York State.
Among other things, Hardalias underlined the support and contribution of the Greek diaspora in promoting national issues and preserving the Greek cultural heritage.
He also had a private meeting with the consul general of Greece in New York, Konstantinos Constantinou.
Regarding Greece’s relations with the United States of America, he underlined that “they are in the best level they have ever been. And you know it, because a very large part of this result is based on your own guidance, your own effort, your own support.”
“Greece is strong, Greece seeks peace, it remains sober, it remains calm but it also remains non-negotiable in everything that concerns our national sovereign rights,” concluded Hardalias.
